AEasy as! To book a ride HeyMate makes it simple — just open the app and search for a ride heading your way, or post your own trip if you’re driving. Connect with your match through secure in-app messaging to confirm pick-up point, time, and price. Once you find your match, send a booking request — it’s that easy.
ADrivers set a fare based on distance and trip details, and a transparent service fee of 1.5% is included to help us run and improve HeyMate. There’s no surge pricing, and you’ll always see the total cost upfront before you confirm a ride.
AYes — HeyMate is built around planning ahead. Since most trips are long-distance, you arrange the date, time, and meeting point with your driver or passenger before you travel, rather than booking an instant on-demand pickup.
AEvery member is profile-verified, and our rating and review system helps you choose who to travel with. Communication happens through secure in-app messaging, so you don’t need to share personal contact details until you’re ready.
AIf you’ve got a valid licence and a trip already planned, you can post your journey on HeyMate and let passengers heading your way join in to help cover costs. and costs without overcharging passengers.
APayments are handled securely through the app. Your fare is debited from your nominated bank account once the ride is completed, processed through Stripe or PayPal. The amount is split between your driver and HeyMate’s service fee, and you’ll always be able to see an itemised breakdown of what you paid.
